Country Place Living Names Akins Regional Director of Operations
IRVING, Texas - August 20, 2008 - Country Place Living, a franchisor of assisted-living residences for seniors in rural America, has appointed Greg Akins as regional director of operations.
"Greg's expertise in operations and management of senior assisted-living residences makes him the perfect addition to our team as we continue to grow our franchise network throughout the U.S.," said Cynthia Gartman, president and COO of Country Place Living.
In his new role, Akins is responsible for effective operation of company-owned residences, improving operational processes and procedures and growing and improving residential marketing procedures.
With more than a decade of experience in the industry, Akins previously served as executive director/operator of Sterling House of Fairdale, a Brookdale Senior Living Community. Prior to that, he was with Manhattan Homestead Assisted Living Residence, in Manhattan, Kan.
Akins has a bachelor's degree in business administration and secondary degree in gerontology from Kansas State University, in Manhattan, Kan.
A member of the International Franchise Association (IFA), Country Place Living plans to expand to more than 400 locations nationwide. Country Place Living has corporate-owned locations throughout Kansas, and is currently selling franchises in rural communities in most states.
